there can be a few reasons why you cannot read a phone using any blackberry mep reading tool

first of all you need to install drivers for blackberry, do this by installing this: http://www.fonefunshop.co.uk/downloa...(DM4.7b50).msi even if you think you already have them installed do it anyway !!

secondly, make sure the phone battery is fully charged

thirdly, you need to know about connecting blackberry's correctly, so make sure there is no password in place ont the handset, if there is you cant read the phone

solution: if pass in place and you dont know it: you can remove a password by guessing it wrong 10 times, this will format the phone and all user data will be lost

if the handset asks for a new password once rebooted, this means it has an it policy on it, you shopuld not enter a new password at this point !!!! you should connect it to your pc while its asking for the new password, because at this point there isnt actually a password in place

the other problem you may encounter is a phone connecting in media mode (connecting as a memory card) you cannot unlock / read phone thats connecting in this mode, so go in options (sometimes in advanced options on certain handsets) and look for media, turn it off, come out and save this setting. reboot handset and re try connection.
